Who manages your data?

Moredoku manages this game. For privacy questions, access to your data or account deletion, contact moremurdoku@gmail.com. Never send us your password.

Playing as a guest

Your progress, notes, puzzle feedback and preferences are saved in your browser on this device. Offline files are also cached there. Clearing site data can remove this information. Guest progress is not automatically added to an account: you can choose to import it.

Accounts and saved progress

For an account, we process your email address, account identifier and sign-in information. Supabase handles password authentication and stores a password hash, not a readable password. We store your puzzle progress, placements, notes, exclusions, completion status, play time and any puzzle feedback so that you can continue on another device. Your email address is not displayed to other players.

Email and optional feedback

Resend sends account confirmation and password recovery messages on our behalf. Newsletter registration is optional; your preference and consent version are stored, and you can unsubscribe in your account settings. Puzzle feedback is optional and is used to improve the game. There are currently no advertisements in the game.

Why we process data

Account access, essential account emails and synchronisation are needed to provide the account service you request. Newsletter emails require your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the game for necessary technical records and optional puzzle feedback.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. Supabase provides accounts and synchronisation; the current database region is London, United Kingdom. Resend delivers account emails. These providers may process technical data, such as IP addresses, request details and email delivery records, and may process data outside your country or the European Economic Area. Their privacy and transfer information is linked below. We do not sell your personal data.

Local storage

The game uses browser storage for progress, settings and sign-in sessions, and a cache for offline play. These functions are needed for saving and using the game; they are not advertising cookies. Signing out leaves guest progress on the device. Do not clear your browser data if it contains guest progress you want to keep.

How long is data kept?

Local data remains until you clear it or the browser removes it. Account data is kept while you use the account and until you ask us to delete it. Necessary security records and provider backups may remain for a limited period after deletion, under the relevant provider’s retention rules. We explain any applicable delay when handling a deletion request.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Where applicable, you can also object to processing or request a restriction. Email moremurdoku@gmail.com; we may need to verify that the account is yours. We normally respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Deleting an account is different from signing out or clearing data on one device.
